The new strategic agenda for Investor Relations

Our Annual Conference for Investor Relations Professionals returns on 8 December | CfL | Copenhagen

The event focus and highlight are the big questions for the future of IR:

Capital is moving. AI is rewriting the rules. Expectations of IR professionals are rising

Is Denmark still investable? Is IR as influential as we think? What is needed in an AI world?

This year’s programme is built around five key themes shaping the future of IR:

  1. The changing capital markets
    – Understanding the environment in which IR operates.
Global capital flows are shifting. Passive investing, private markets and growing competition for international capital are changing the landscape for Danish listed companies. Where is the money going, what does it take to attract investors today, and how can Danish companies remain competitive?

  2. The future IR professional
    – The competencies needed for tomorrow’s IR function.
The expectations of IR professionals are changing. Financial expertise, strategic thinking, communication skills and increasingly AI and data capabilities are all competing for attention. But which skills will really matter in the years ahead?

    Speakers:
    – Per Bech Thomsen, Partner, Impact Partners
    – Michael Bjergby, CFO, Boozt

  3. Creating stronger investor dialogue
    – Engagement, targeting, and best practice.
More meetings don’t necessarily mean better investor relations. With investor behaviour and ownership patterns changing, is it time to rethink traditional roadshows and investor targeting?

    Speakers:

Kasper Brix-Andersen, Head of Danish Equities, Danica
Søren Samsøe, Global Head of Research, SEB
Aleksandra Dimovska, Vice President, Investor Relations at Coloplast

  4. Building trust in an AI world
    – How to leverage AI while ensuring credibility.
AI is transforming how investors access, analyse and interpret company information. As technology takes on more of IR’s traditional tasks, where does the real value of the IR professional lie?

  5. IR as a strategic advisor
    – Bringing market insights into management and board discussions.
IR professionals increasingly see themselves as strategic advisors to management and the board. But how much influence do they really have? New Danish research explores the gap between ambition and reality and raises some challenging questions about IR’s role in corporate decision-making.

    Speakers:
Jens Due Olsen, Chair of several boards
Michael Novod, SVP, Head of Investor Relations, Novo
Jacob Johansen, VP, Head of Investor Relations, NKT
